Donation and planting of manú negro trees

guanacaste, Tilarán, nuevo Arenal

As part of our environmental commitment, to inherit a better world for future generations and for this planet to maintain its beauty and great variety of animals and plants and, above all, to protect those species that are in danger of extinction, we decided to task of planting an approximate amount of two thousand trees (seedbed) of the Manu Negro species, whose scientific name is Minquartia guianensis and can grow from 40 to 70 meters in height.

This tree is native to America and is found between Nicaragua and the Amazon rainforest in Brazil. Its growth is very slow and it can be planted from the plains up to 700 meters above sea level.

Because it is an endangered species, whose fruit is also food for monkeys and birds such as parakeets, toucans and limpets, among others, we donated and planted 10 trees of this species, around a natural pond and a stream, for their environmental protection.

It should be noted that in a diameter of 15 meters of streams and 50 meters of lakes, it is totally prohibited to cut trees according to our legislation, therefore, the planted trees will be there for many years.

This event was carried out on February 18, 2024, by PRO NATURE REALTY (https://pronaturerealty.com) and in collaboration with young people from El Aguacate and a native of Alaska, as well as the owner of the reforested farm, to whom we thank the trust in our work.
